Triple M Busselton City Ladies had a 3-1 win against Dunsborough in very windy conditions.
In an entertaining game both teams had plenty of attacking opportunities. But it was Busselton City’s Jess Coshott opened up the scoring with a ball to run onto from Ashlyn Atkinson before new comer Phoebe Crompton controlled a brilliant crossed ball by Sharon Cowley to place it firmly past the keeper to give the locals a 2-0 lead.
Atkinson scored Busselton's third goal with a firm shot from another Cowley cross. Estelle Dragstra ran tirelessly and created many chances while Asha McClurg was her usual constructive self.
The return of Janelle Snaddon proved to be vital with her fantastic defensive plays and being awarded Busselton's ‘Dome Player of the Day'.
Dunsborough scored their only goal with 15 minutes to go but Busselton City’s defence held strong led by Sami Ryan and Eliza Sheehan.
