Triple M Busselton City ladies team came very close to causing the biggest upset South West soccer fixtures in many years when it drew 2-2 with Eaton Dardanup.
Busselton, who sit four places below the current league leaders, showed considerable tenacity and resilience throughout the 90 minutes.
Asha McClurg gave the locals the lead with a 35 metre free-kick that was as good as any goal seen at Churchill Park in recent seasons. Eaton Dardanup then hit back with two goals before teenage striker Cheynae Wright scored after latching on to a subtle Estelle Dragstra pass.
Then both sides went looking for the winner and a herculean performance from promising defender Hannah Armstrong ensured that her side would share the points.
