Busselton Left Soul Searching

There will be some soul searching for Tristen Carroll’s CMI Busselton City side following their 1-0 defeat to Bunbury United on Sunday.Busselton were the architects of their own downfall with the ball given away cheaply, passes constantly being over-hit and a tendency at times to ball watch.

Bunbury scored the crucial goal just before the half time break when Paulo Sogolov exploited some space on the edge of the penalty area with a confident finish. The local side looked more poised in the second half but a missed penalty midway in the final 20 minutes proved costly.

Then controversially Bunbury also had an opportunity from the penalty spot to wrap up the game but Busselton keeper Ange Fytnogiannis brilliantly saved Graeme Millington’s effort.
