CMI Busselton City found it difficult to break down an experienced Hay Park back four in their 1-0 loss on Sunday.
Played in blustery conditions, both sides were guilty of misdirected passes and a tendency to over-play the long ball option. Hay Park grabbed the only goal after 22 minutes with a well struck half volley which gave Busselton ‘keeper Jesse Gunnis no chance. In the second half Busselton looked more menacing and utilised the prodigious throw in of Cameron Best to test out the opposition defence.
In the end Busselton couldn’t grab the equaliser despite Corbyn Wilson and Mike Newell coming close to finding the back of the net.
